Length of roots, number of nodule per plant, dry matter yield of leaves and roots, protein content of leaf and the root failed to reach a level of statistical significance. Incubating lime for three months did not have any effect. Soil phosphorus and organic matter were not significantly increased by the different incubation period of lime. However, a significant increase in exchangeable calcium and magnesium content of the soil was observed
