Broiler feeding on coarse ground rye or rye meal

Experiment was carried out in 3 groups of 102 Cornish x White Rock chicks during 49 days of production on deep litter. Chickens in the control group were fed on standard mixed feed DKA-starter and DKA-finisher with corn ground. Chickens in experimental groups received mixed feeds in which 50% of corn meal was replaced by coarse ground rye or rye meal. All types of feeding assured weight gains of broilers above 1700 g. Feeding value did not affect the slaughter quality
