Forage legumes had no significant effect on the grain and fodder yields of corn under upland and lowland, and on sorghum under lowland conditions. Upland corn grain yields were 6.9 and 6.21 t/ha, and in lowland, 0.61 and 0.44 t/ha with and without intercrop, respectively. Lowland sorghum grain yield was 2.23 and 2.19 t/ha, respectively. Under upland, mean grain and fodder yields of corn for all treatments were 6.33 and 5.44 t/ha. and in lowland 0.46 and 0.53 t/ha, 14% moisture and DM [dry matter] basis, respectively. Siratro consistently gave the highly significantly highest fodder yield in association with either corn or sorghum under both upland and lowland conditions. The DM yields of siratro and schofield under upland and lowland conditions were 4.53 and 3.28 t/ha and 2.17 and 1.60 t/ha, respectively.
