The present paper is a review of the main research work on PP 333 on fruit trees. The aspects under review are: the mechanism of action; uptake, translocation and metabolism; the effects on shoot and root growth, flowering, fruit set, fruit growth, yield, mineral nutrition, hormone, photosynthesis, respiration, transpiration and resistance to environmental stress; and factors influencing these effects.
