[Preliminary observations about the bio-agronomical behaviour of 14 cultivars of table-olives in western Sicily]

Authors relate on preliminary results of a comparison among 14 table olive cultivar of different origin, carried out in Partanna (Tp). Vegetative, productive and carpologic characteristics of each cultivar were observed. The aptitude of the indigenous cultivar "Nocellara del Belice" for green table olives production has been confirmed. Among the other cultivars there were two, "Manzanilla" and "Giarraffa" which have showed a good aptitude respectively for green and black table olive production
