Revnic, N. | Popa, O.
The yeast cultivated on n-paraffin can replace the fish meal in the diet of broiler chickens. It is recommended to replace between 25 and 75 % of the fish meal, in which case a higher performance in live weight, consumption and carcass quality is obtained. It is possible to replace entirely fish meal and up to 25 % of the soybean meal in the chickens diet, even if in the first month there is a small decrease in normal growth but in the second month there is a remarkable increase of the daily gain. At a level of 15 % yeast in the chickens diet there is no sign of any clinical and metabolic changes. A level of 15 % yeast in the diet enhances the content of the dry matter, the protein and the fat of the carcasses
