This publication presents a radiographic method enabling the count of the attacks of bark beetles in the bark of the host tree, and the quantitative expression of their development. The data are precise and quickly obtained. Various parameters are considered, some inform on the attraction level of the tree, others on its influence on the development of the maternal and of the larval galleries. The most interesting are 1. the number of attacks and 2. the mean value of the development of the the galleries for each bark sample
