Two pot experiments were conducted in two successive seasons of (1986/1987) and (1987/1988) at the experimental station of the Faculty of Agriculture, Kafr-El-Sheikh, Tanta University, to study the effect of CCC and pinching on growth, flowering and leaf pigments content of cineraria (Senecio hybridus, Regel) plants. Cineraria plants (non-pinched) were sprayed either with three levels of cycocel (500, 1000 and 1500 ppm), or with tap-water (Control). Besides, there was a treatment of pinched plants (which was not treated with CCC). Data indicated that CCC decreased plant height compared to control. This reduction increased by increasing CCC level. Pinched plants were shorter than control and 500 ppm CCC treatment, while longer than 1000 and 1500 CCC treatments.
