Towards learning farmers' ecological zones: an example from upland Laguna [Philippines]

A case example of farmers' ecological zoning that combines socio-cultural and academic agronomic analysis is presented. It demonstrates that farmers themselves can provide stock of knowledge which academics and development practitioners can learn to enhance understanding of the complexity of agroecosystem.
