The appearance of weeds in field trials depending on plot size

A common trial program of the German official service and the plant protection industry has been carried out in cereals to investigate the dependencies of field trials results on plot size. The frequency of observed weeds within the plots is varying but independent from plot size. Coverage assessments show the same results independent from plot size with the only exception of Veronica hederifolia, which occurs at a significantly lower percentage in the 5 square metre-plot
