Nitrogen application significantly (P0.05) increased dry matter yield (DMY) of ramie and land productivity while intercropping significantly (P0.05) reduced DMY of Sesbania. Ramie DMY was 11.08, 13.95, and 16.02 t/ha at 0, 35, and 70 K N/ha/cutting and that of Sesbania was 0.91, 0.86, and 6.97 t/ha/yr. Annual biomass yield was 9.95, 13.15, and 14.26 t/ha for 0, 35 and 70 K N. Cutting interval did not significantly affect DMY of ramie and Sesbania on total biomass. Dry matter content of ramie and Sesbania was not affected by N application and intercropping but early cutting (D30) significantly (P0.05) reduced DM and increased CP content of ramie. Protein content of Sesbania was likewise significantly (P0.05) reduced by N application and intercropping. The second study dealt with ramie digestibility using 4 mature goats, in 4 x 4 Latin Square design. The dietary treatments are Ro
