Pig breeding farms with market production in the commune Krsko

Several pig farms (37) specialized for market production in the commune of Krsko were analysed. Based on the survey data the following parameters were discussed: farm type, man power on farms, arable land, number of various kinds of domestic animals on farms, yearly pig production, quantity and kind of forage produced, quantity of animal wastes, etc. It was established that farms with intensive pig production own the average of 8.4ha total arable land. All the farms have an heir whose average age is 25 years. The average stocking rate is 2.6 LU/ha of total arable land. The share of self - sufficiency with forage for pigs is 55 % on the average. The yearly quantity of animal wastes amounts to 37,5t/ha of total arable land and on pig fattening farms its maximum quantity is 81,7t/ha of total arable land
