Durch Anreicherung auf Ethylacetat als Kohlenstoffquelle wird aus belueftetem thermophilen Klaerschlamm ein neuer Esterase-produzierender Mikroorganismus, Code-Name EAEC, isoliert und als Bacillus thermoglucosidasius-Spezies identifiziert. Die biochemischen und physiologischen Eigenschaften und seine taxonomische Zugehoerigkeit werden untersucht.
