Serological characterisation of Australian isolates of Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae [pleuropneumonia of pigs; bacteria]

Using hyperimmune rabbit antisera, a total of 51 isolates were assigned to 8 reference strains. Only 1 isolate was not typed. A rapid slide agglutination test was proved suitable for screening field isolates, with a 73 percent assignment success.
