Baculovirus particles are described from digestive glands of prawns grown in hatcheries in New South Wales, northern Queensland and Northern Territory. The particles were found in hypertrophied nuclei of hepatopancreatic epithelial cells, and resembled baculovirus reported from P. plebejus.
