Effect of potassium supply on cation uptake and distribution in grafted Vitis champinii and Vitis berlandieri x Vitis rupestris rootstocks [grapes]
1991
Ruhl, E.H. (Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation, Merbein (Australia). Div. of Horticulture)
In a nutrient solution trial, while dry matter was not affected by K supply or rootstock, greater K supply increased K contents in the various plant parts by 25-32 percent. Vines differed in K content in the scion parts with rootstock. K accumulation was higher and Mg accumulation lower for vines grafted on V. champinii rootstocks. The results indicated that K accumulation in the scion parts of grafted vines is affected by the genotype of the rootstock.
