Carcasses of Booroola(B) x Merino(M) and Trangie Fertility Merino(TF) x M had greater depths of fat at both the same age and same carcass weight than those of M. Results, although with a small number of sires, suggest that the effect of the Booroola F gene on the characters measured is negligible.
