Developing wine descriptors at Charles Sturt University

Students have been asked to collect wine descriptors that have been applied to particular varieties by tasters and journalists. For each variety, the ten most commonly applied have been used to construct 'profiles' of varietal wines. A student panel then tried to differentiate two contrasting wines on the basis of their profiles.
