One of the most important factors in Delta's ecosystems is water and its natural and artificial access ways. Human activity in Delta determined the use of navigable ways to transport all produces necessary for people and also for moving in this area for different purposes: natural resources account, tourism and scientific research. The aim is to aknowledge and evaluate effects produced by the movement of ships on navigable ways. This project intends to follow some of the effects produced by each typical class of ships and also solutions that can be taken to reduce negative consequences on Delta's ecosystems as well as different effects of simultaneous displaced different classes of ships on some characteristic zones. It also has in view to determine the maximum admissible levels of traffic on different navigable ways, that are able to reduce to minimum the impact on Delta and to maintain the apropriate conditions for conservation and reconstruction. The work had also in view the elaboration of a studying method for the effects of natural banks erosion due to navigation and soil erosion level assessment in accordance with ship characteristics, the waves and natural banks as well.
