Aftergrass nutritive value estimated with a regression equation

From 170 random samples of aftergrass we calculated regression equations for the content of digestible crude protein, starch equivalent and german net energy for lactation. Multiple R and standard errors are: 0.99467 and 2.21172; 0.95488 and 1,51281; 0,93487 and 0,14164 respectively. All three multiple R are statistically very higly significant. Therefore it is better to estimate the nutritive value in aftergrass with equations than with tabular coeficients of digestibility.
