Heterosis and reciprocal differences for quantitative traits in summer squash (Cucurbita pepo L.)

英语. Performance, heterosis and reciprocal differences for flowering and yield were studied in F1 hybrids of all possible crosses among three summer squash lines during Fall, 1992 and Spring, 1993. In both seasons, no differences (P0.05) among all genotypes, including parental lines, were obtained for number of staminate and pistillate flowers per plant. Differences (P0.05) among genotypes were found for fruit yield and fruit number. Large variation for percent fruit set exists. Means of F1 hybrids were higher than parental means for yield traits. No differences were observed for reciprocal differences for all measured traits except for fruit yield in Spring, 1993. Manifestation of heterosis for F1 hybrids over the midparent was found (P0.05) for yield traits and tended (P0.005) negative for flowering. Estimated heterosis over the superior parent also was negative for flowering and positive for yield in 1993, and for fruit number and fruit set in both seasons, AL and GZ combined well for yield traits

Si sono studiati resa, eterosi e differenze reciproche, per quanto concerne fioritura e resa, negli ibridi F1 di tutti i possibili incroci tra tre linee di zucca estiva durante l'autunno 1992 e la primavera 1993. In entrambe le stagioni non si sono ottenute differenze (P0.05) tra alcun genotipo, linee parentali incluse, quanto al numero di fiori staminati e pistillati per pianta. Si sono riscontrate differenze tra i genotipi (P0.05) sia per resa, sia per numero di frutti. Esiste un'ampia variazione tra le percentuali dei frutti. Le medie degli ibridi F1 erano piu' alte di quelle dei parentali per quanto riguarda le caratteristiche produttive. Non si sono osservate differenze riguardo alle differenze reciproche per tutti i caratteri misurati eccetto che per la produzione di frutti nella primavera 1993. Si e' riscontrata una manifestazione di eterosi per gli ibridi F1 sui semi-genitori (P0.05), quanto ai caratteri produttivi, che tendeva (P0.005) ad essere negativa per la fioritura. Anche l'eterosi stimata sul parentale superiore era negativa quanto alla fioritura e positiva quanto alla produzione nel 1993, e quanto a numero di frutti e allegagione dei frutti, in entrambe le stagioni, A1 e GZ si combinavano bene per quanto riguarda i caratteri produttivi
