Field experiments were carried out to evaluate the effects of burning on Shaw creeping vigna and an A. vaginalis accession. Several factors including plant vigour, intensity of burning and conditions after burning apparently affected plant responses. It is suggested that burning under some conditions can be detrimental to Shaw creeping vigna stands but may be beneficial to stands of the perennial alyceclover.
