The effect of medium composition and growth regulator on apple Bromo rootstock micropropagation

An experiment was conducted at Tlekung Horticultural Research Station from April to October 1992. The experimental design was Complete Randomized Design with 4 treatments at initiation phase and 3 treatments at proliferation phase, and used bud apple rootstock from Bromo as explant. The result showed that the best composition medium for initiation and proliferation was 1/2 MS + 0.5 ppm BA. There was a significantly difference between proliferation medium on the number of shoots on both the first and the second proliferation phase. The increment of leaves number on MS + 1 ppm BA + 0.5 ppm IBA and 1/2 MS + 0.5 ppm BA medium were relatively better than the other
