Yield and reaction of ten tomato cultivars to Pseudomonas solanacearum Smith E.F. in Uganda

Ten tomato lines were evaluated in 1991 for resistance to bacterial wilt (Pseudomonas solanacearum Smith E.F.) in three bacterial wilt infested locations in Uganda. In all the locations the lines were significantly more resistant than the susceptible checks, Marglobe. Results from on-station and on-farm trials gave yields of 30 ton ha and produced marketable fruits with qualities acceptable to the consumers
