The pot vegetation experiments on winter wheat genotypes were carried out. Measurements were done after anthesis in the period of grain formation. The increase in diffusion resistance of flag and penultimate leaves, indicating graduation of the stress and the level of dehydration expressed by relative water content, shows the differences in genotypes in water regulation. The relationship between the relative water content and stomatal resistance also indicates that its dynamics for flag leaf under the stress conditions was identical in all the genotypes. Early indication of stress degree, its elimination by optimization measures, or suitable selection of genotypes may reduce a negative effect of stress factors on production capacity of plants.
