英语. The performance of an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) system to identify Haemorrhagic septicaemia (HS)-causing P. multocida organisms has been reviewed. Analysis of 214 isolates tested confirmed that the assay had a specificity of 99 percent and a sensitivity of at least 88 percent. All Australian isolated tested, as well as a significant proportion of isolates from HS-endemic areas, were found to be uncreative in the assay. These results confirmed that the HS-antigen ELISA is a simple, accurate and inexpensive assay, which will enable developing countries to determine the incidence and economic impact of this disease

Analisis dari 214 isolat yang telah diuji mengkonfirmasikan bahwa uji ini mempunyai tingkat spesifisitas 99 persen dan sensitifitas sedikitnya 88 persen. Seluruh isolat asal Autralia dan juga sejumlah isolat yang berasal dari daerah endemik S.E., telah diuji. Hasilnya mengkonfirmasikan bahwa uji ELISA antigen untuk S.E. adalah uji yang sederhana, tepat, tidak memerlukan biaya tinggi dan memungkinkan bagi negara berkembang untuk menentukan kejadian dan kerugian ekonomi akibat penyakit ini
