Effect of various feeds on the production of sea bass, Lates calcarifer cultured in brackishwater ponds

The experiment was conducted in 42 m2 (6x7 m) pen inside brackishwater pond for 4 months period. Sea bass was stocked at density of 10 ind./m2. The fish was fed with living tilapia (treatment A), trashfish (treatment B) and commercial pellet (treatment C). The results showed that there were no significant difference among means of survival rate, however, there was significant difference (P0.05) among means of production. The highest production of 9.22 kg/pond was obtained by treatment A, followed by treatment B (6.03 kg/pond) and treatment C (3.33 kg/pond)
