Impatiens necrotic spot tospovirus in ornamentals in Piedmont (North-Western Italy) [Sinningia, Begonia, Impatiens, Lobelia, Eustonia]

英语. Impatiens necrotic spot tospovirus has been detected for the first time in commercial nurseries in Piedmont, North-Western Italy. The species found infected were: gloxinia (Sinningia speciosa), begonia (Begonia sp.), New Guinea impatiens (Impatiens sp.), lobelia (Lobelia sp.) and lisianthus (Eustoma grandiflorum). The virus was identified by ELISA and infectivity test. Analysis of the serological detectability in different organs of gloxinia indicated that the virus was patchily distributed. Flowers gave the highest percentage of positive results but for realiable detection it was necessary to include tissues from all the organs

Il virus, che non era stato precedentemente rilevato nella regione, e' stato identificato con ELISA e saggi di infettivita' in glossinia (Sinningia speciosa), begonia (Begonia sp.), impatiens della Nuova Guinea (Impatiens sp.), lobelia (Lobelia sp.) e lisianthus (Eustoma grandiflorum). Foglie, fiori e tuberi di glossinia sono stati analizzati separatamente in ELISA. I fiori hanno fornito il piu' alto numero di campioni positivi; per l'affidabilita' del rilevamento e' necessario includere nel saggio i tessuti di tutti gli organi presenti
