Approximately 72 varieties of fruit and vegetable crops are produced and marketed by this sub-sector of the agricultural sector. This subsector is dominated by small farmers. This study aims at evaluating the possible effects of agricultural price and policy reform on the fruit and vegetable subsector of the Trinidad and Tobago agriculture sector. This study found that with trade reform there would be significant decrease in the price of cabbage, lettuce, cauliflower and tomato. This would in turn result in decline of farm income. At this point the major concern with respect to trade reform implementation comes in.
