Characterization and inheritance of the crinkle-leaf trait in peach and peach-almond hybrids [Prunus persica - Prunus amygdalus]

英语. The crinkle-leafed peach accession P85-111 was used in a series of hybridizations with normal-leafed peaches and almonds to develop F1 and F2 hybrid populations. This discrete morphological leaf condition is characterized by having fewer serrations per unit length of leaf margin, thicker and wider leaf blades, and reduced lengths of petiole, stipule and leaf blade as compared with the normal-leafed condition. The crinkle leaf phenotype was not observed in any of the 133 F1 hybrids examined. In the eight F2 hybrid populations utilized in this study, seedlings segregated in a 3 normal-leafed: 1 crinkle-leafed ratio. These segregation ratios indicate that the crinkle leaf characteristic is controlled by a single gene, with the crinkle leaf phenotype being homozygous recessive. Peach and peach-almond hybrids having this characteristic appear to have normal vigor and fertility as compared with normal-leafed siblings. 意大利语. [L'accessione di pesco a foglia increspata P85-111 e' stata utilizzata in una serie di ibridazioni con peschi a foglie normali e mandorli al fine di sviluppare popolazioni F1 ed F2. Questa condizione morfologica particolare della foglia e' caratterizzata da un numero minore di seghettature per unita' di lunghezza sul margine fogliare, da lamine fogliari piu' spesse e piu' ampie, da piccioli, lamine fogliari e stipole di lunghezza ridotta rispetto alla condizione di foglia normale. Il fenotipo a foglia increspata non e' stato osservato in alcuno dei 133 ibridi F1 esaminati. Nelle 8 popolazioni ibride F2 utilizzate in questo studio, le plantule segregavano secondo il rapporto 3:1 fra foglia normale e foglia increspata. Questi rapporti di segregazione indicano che la caratteristica della foglia increspata e' controllata da un singolo gene e che il fenotipo foglia increspata e' omozigote recessivo. Gli ibridi di pesco e di pesco-mandorlo con questa caratteristica presentano vigore e fertilita' normali, in paragone con gli omologhi a foglia normale.
