[National strategy for the sustainability and preservation of the biodiversity (in Suriname)]

英语. This National Strategy for Sustainability and Preservation of the Biological Diversity has come about through the joint efforts of the different parties concerned. Two workshops had been organized. The first one (23 - 24 March 1995) was dedicated to the explaining of the UN convention on biological diversity and the providing of technical and scientifical information about our biodiversity. The second workshop (30 - 31 Januari 1996) was dedicated to the commercial and non-commercial utilization and economic valuation of our diversity. Further discussions were then held within the working group Biodiversity, resulting in this National Strategy for Sustainability and Preservation of the Biological Diversity. The development of this national strategy was initiated by a GEF/UNDP project. This final report presents a situation sketch of the knowledge of biodiversity, deterioration and loss of biodiversity, and the value of biodiversity. The objectives of the strategy and the commitment of the Surinamese government are briefly mentioned. 荷兰语； 佛兰德语. Deze Nationale Strategie voor het Duurzaam Gebruik en Behoud van de Biologische Diversiteit is tot stand gekomen door de gezamenlijke inspanning van verschillende belanghebbenden. Twee workshops werden georganiseerd. De eerste workshop (23 - 24 maart 1995) werd besteed aan het toelichten van het VN verdrag inzake de biologische diversiteit en het verschaffen van technische en wetenschappelijke informatie over onze biodiversiteit. De tweede workshop (30 - 31 januari 1996) was gericht op de commerciele en niet-commerciele benutting en de economische waardering van onze biodiversiteit. Hierna werden verdere discussies gevoerd binnen de Werkgroep Biodiversiteit, met als resultaat de Nationale Strategie voor Duurzaam Gebruik en Behoud van de Biologische Diversiteit. De ontwikkeling van de nationale strategie vond plaats in het kader van een GEP/UNDP Project. In dit eindconcept wordt een situatieschets gegeven van de kennis over onze biodiversiteit, bescherming en beheer van de biodiversiteit, achteruitgang en verlies van de biodiversiteit en de waarde van de biodiversiteit. De doelstellingen van de strategie en de "commitment" van de regering worden kort weergegeven. Daarna wordt de strategie voor duurzaam gebruik en behoud van de biodiversiteit uitgebreid bediscussieerd
