At the present economic situation in Ukraine using reclaimed solonetz-like soils as sown meadows and pastures is proved to be the most expedient. Using them as arable lands is connected with large expenditures of energy and material resources. For sowing pastures and meadows on saline soils the mixed feed grasses as follows are recommended: red clover+lucerne+birdsfoot trefoil+meadow fescue+awnless bromegrass, 29-31 kg/ha of first grade seeds. Sometimes it is recommended for the grass mixture sweet clover, 6 kg/ha which well tolerates soil salinity and enriches soil with biological nitrogen. Under market conditions in Ukraine from 1.3 mln. ha of transformed saline soils 0.9 mln. ha should be used as pastures, 0.4 mln. ha as meadows. It makes it possible to obtain 36-45 mln. t of high-quality green mass and to procure for winter 2.0-2.4 mln. t of hay. Using reclaimed solonetz-like soil as sown pastures and meadows is expected to improve sanitary and ecological conditions, to reduce silting of river deltas and melioration channels
