[New trends in fodder plants species and varietal composition]

This article gives a brief information about importance of perennial forage crops, about number of varieties enlisted in National List of the Czech Republic. It characterizes not only new varieties of main clover and grass species but also less known newly enlisted varieties of non-traditional species (e.g. Lotus ornithopodioides, Melilotus alba - annual form, Coronilla varia, etc.). It also indicates a current trend of perennial forage crops breeding.
