Pro-ecological attempts aimed at limiting the rate of eutrophication of natural waters

The article presents the state of lake cleanness in Poland against structural distribution of lakes and their size. Particular attention is paid to the fact that in summer a large amount of biogenic substances accumulates in emerged or submerged macrohydrophytes. Regular removal of emerged macrohydrophytes in autumn or winter can result in an effective decrease in water trophicity, which sometimes allows to classify the water in a lake as belonging to a higher class of cleaness. The article also presents some biogenic elements content in macrohydrophytes
