This 1981 status report gives details of the activities of the Barbados Unit of CARDI. The report offers an introduction to the organisation. It outlines its achievements in Barbados in the following areas: (a) Virus-tested yams (b) Integrated Pest Management (c) Biometrics (d) Monkey Crop Damage Control and (e) Animal Production. It Also highlights work on (a) Small Farming Systems (b) Commodity Improvement, specifically sorghum, peanuts, onions, garlic and vegetables and (c) Livestock Programme.
