An investigation on age, growth pattern, growth rate, length weight relationship, food conversion rate and survival rate of catfish raised in a floating wooden cage of 2 x 3 x 1,5 cubic meter was conducted at the Musi river, South Sumatra for 1 year. The cage was stocked with 22 fish with an average weight of 253,4 g. Commercial pelleted feed with 23 percent protein content was given at 2 percent fish biomass weight daily. The initial ages of catfish were 0.5-1 year old and after 1 year rearing, the fish attained a final weight of 2,445 g or 965 percent of the initial weight, meaning a monthly growth rate of 21.45 percent. The growth pattern of catfish showed an allometric growth (b3) and food conversion rate of 3.7
