Evaluation of the usability of a string sieve for seed mixture cleaning

The aim of study was to determine the usability of string sieve for cleaning rape seed mixtures. Paper presents the results concerning effects of sieve inclination angle and surface loading as well as the content of impurities in the mixtures, on cleaning quality. The experiments showed that either, inclination angle and surface loading of the sieve significantly affected the efficiency of impurity separation and losses of basic species seeds
