Kinematic parameters of the rape seeds were studied in respect of seed coat cracking damages in hulling process. Theoretical impact velocity of a rape seed against the flat surface of hulling blade on rotary disc was described as affected by peripheral speed of the blade. Mean critical impact velocity damaging seed coats was determined for the rape seeds depending on their moisture content
