Three performance tests of common carp crossbreds were terminated in 1991-1997. In a complete diallele test of four breeds (Ropsha Carp - Rop, C435 Strain, South Bohemian Mirror Carp - BV, Koi Carp - KOI), the best results of transformed weight gain were proven for BV x C435 crossbred. Specific heterosis effect of 1 % was proven for Rop x C435 crossbred, general heterosis effect of 3.88 % and 12.58 % was proven for Rop x BV and C435 x BV, respectively.
