Evaluation of living standards of farmer families in Wroclaw voivodeship under the conditions of a market economy

The purpose of the study was to present the living standards of farmer families. In 1996 the survey was carried out in 100 households of Wroclaw voivodeship, with 5 to 20 ha of farmland. The opinions on the living standard provided by the surveyed families were as follows: high (30 percent), average (45 percent), low (25 percent). For 25 percent of the surveyed, the living standard in the last 5 years has increased, while 47 percent admitted that it has been maintained at the same level
