Horizontal and vertical pressures of stored rye grain at the moisture content (dry basis) 0.21 and 0.28 kg/kg, on the walls and bottom of the silos of height to diameter ratio 15 and 8, were studied. Both silos were equally high and the duration of experiment amounted 10 days. The higher was grain moisture content, the stronger its pressure on the walls and bottom of a silo. Higher pressures were observed in a "thickset" silo than in a "slender" one. The highest rises of studied parameters appeared during first five days of grain storage. Bridging of grain occurred in the upper part of a thickset silo only at grain moisture content 0.28 kg/kg
