Arboreal mites (Acari) of young Scots pine forests in some regions polluted by factories
1999
Dabrowski, J.
Based on the sensitivity of mites to industrial pollution, 3 groups of species were considered in young Scots pine forests. The first group Trichoribates trimaculatus and sometimes Cultroribula juncta created, which inhabited abundantly highly polluted Scots pine trees situated usually near the factories. The second group fromed Micreremus brevipes and Zygoribatula exilis, which lived abundandly on medium and slightly polluted Scots pine trees. The third group was represented by Carabodes labyrinthicus and Eporibatula rauschenensis, which on polluted Scots pine trees were absent or occurred on them occasionally. Practical meaning for the diagnosis of pollution level in young Scots pine forests have Carabodes labyrnthicus and Trichoribates trimaculatus, which distincly reacted to this pollution. The former species was sensitive to industrial pollution, while the second tolerated it
