Studies on the operation of corn conveyance by the new type chain conveyor with cylindric collectors

The new solution consists in high flexibility of the chain and application of cylindrical collectors. Testing of the model on the computer program, strength and simulation investigations of the chain links as well as studies on the material conveyance on the laboratory stand have been carried out. The obtained results have been verified by long-term operating tests in real conditions. The results allowed to perform preliminary evaluation of the load in chain and optimization of the conveyor drive power. Our studies allowed to determine the operating life of the conveyor. The designed utility specimens of conveyor are characterized by double output at the same power satisfy the obligatory noise level standards. The patented solution has been awarded by the golden model on 47-th World Exhibition of Innovation, Research and New Technology "EUREKA" in Brussels in 1998
