Studies revealed that the inoculative release of adult Cryptolaemus montrouzieri and Scymnus coccivora arrested the population trend of Maconellicoccus hirsutus (Green) infesting several plants namely hibiscus, soursop, citrus, cashew, ochro, sorrel and cactus which had initial infestation levels ranging from 1-32 ovisacs, 1-60 nymphs and adults as well as numerous crawlers at terminal shoots. The absence of crawlers after 20 days and the presence of empty ovisacs and predatory larvae indicated the effectiveness of exotic ladybirds and their possible establishment at Point Fortin.
