1998
Persad, C. (Ministry of Agriculture, Land and Marine Resources, Centeno (Trinidad and Tobago). Research Division, Central Experiment Station)
The Hibiscus Mealybug (HMB) is known to be an extremely polyphagous pest attacking over 125 plant species as recorded from India, Grenada and Trinidad. Based on the varying degrees of symptom expressions manifested by these host plants, the latter have been grouped into three distinct categories, which are discussed. The perspective of tolerance to Hibiscus Mealybug infestation by certain plants is explored.
