A study on supplementation of Badahar (Artocarpus lakocha) with and without crop residue (rice straw) was conducted at Jhobang village (1100 m asl), Kaski districts on 1999. Sixteen lactating indigenous buffaloes were taken each group containing four animals. The response of Badahar supplementation on the milk yield was significantly higher in comparison to animals fed solely with rice straw however, the rice straw intake was higher in animals fed on untreated or dry rice straw. Other parameters like fat percent, solid not fat (SNF) Corrected Lacto-meter Reading (CLR) and Total Solid (TS) of milk were considered in this study. There was statistically no significant difference in SNF and CLR among all four groups whereas Fat percent and TS content of milk of Badahar feeding animals were found to be higher at P0.01 and P0.05 respectively.
