Management of intensively stocked populations requires evaluation of their gene pool characteristics. An allozyme electrophoretic study was performed in order to estimate the amount of genetic variation and genetic relatedness between the sea trout populations ascending four Polish rivers: Vistula, Slupia, Parseta, and Rega. Among the 33 genetic loci scored, seven loci were polymorphic, and the mean number of alleles per locus was 1.2. Genetic distances between studied populations were very short
