The aim of the work was to determine the changes in some chemical, physico-chemical and water properties of sandy soil under the influence of one application of organic-mineral fertilizer originating from brown coal. It was found that the fertilizer made from brown coal when applied once in the soil originating from loose sand favourably influenced soil reaction, sorption properties and an increase in the total content of organic carbon in the soil
