Grey mould control on grape with dicarboximides in comparison with new botryticides. Results of five year trials [Vitis vinifera L. - Piedmont]

Traditional dicarboximides and new botryticides (pyrimethanil, mepanipyrim, fenexamid and cyprodinil+fludioxonil) were compared in five year trials (1993-1997), carried out in a vineyard of Moscato bianco particularly susceptible to grey mould (Botrytis cinerea). The disease pressure was high during all the years, resulting the highest in 1994 (40% of infected berries), because of remarkable rainfall occurred about 30 days before the harvest. In 1994, all the dicarboximides showed a reduced activity, showing a grey mould control not statistically different from the untreated check, whereas pyrimethanil and fenexamid gave a good control. In the other years, either dicarboximides and new fungicides showed a good level of activity, with slight differences among the compounds. In the last year trials, caracterized by a light drop of efficacy of some botryticides, the good activity of the mixture cyprodinil and fludioxonil, employed for the first time, has been showed

Negli anni 1993-1997, in un vigneto di Moscato bianco particolarmente soggetto agli attacchi di Botrytis cinerea, sono state confrontate le dicarbossimidi tradizionali con alcuni nuovi antibotritici (pyrimethanil, mepanipyrim, fenexamid, cyprodinil+fludioxonil). L'attacco e' stato forte in tutti gli anni di prova, con una punta di oltre il 40pecent di acini colpiti nel 1994, dovuta alla consistente piovosita' nei 30 giorni precedenti la raccolta. In questa annata, gli antibotritici tradizionali hanno evidenziato un'attivita' molto bassa, non significativa, nei confronti del testimone, mentre e' stata buona quella di pyrimethanil e fenexamid. In seguito, si e' avuta una ripresa di attivita' delle dicarbossimidi e, nel 1996, tutti i prodotti, con differenze minime tra loro, hanno assicurato una buona protezione. Nell'ultimo anno di prova, caratterizzato da un leggero calo di efficacia di alcuni antibotritici, emerge la buona attivita' della miscela ciprodinil+fludioxonil, impiegata per la prima volta
