Macro and micromorphological study of Quercus petraea (Matt.) Liebl. and Quercus pubescens Willd. in the Berignone-Tatti forest stand (Volterra, Central Italy) [Tuscany]

英语. Quercus petraea is an important genetic resource, even not very known, in Central Italy. Its interest is due to its possible use in reforestation projects for productive purposes and arboriculture. But in these areas Q. petraea often hybridizes with Q. pubescens, producing individuals whose taxonomic definition is very difficult. This study takes into account a number of morphologic and anatomic features (macro and micromorphology; pubescence; thickness of tissues) of Q. petraea and Q. pubescens leaves coming from the forest stand of Berignone-Tatti, in Tuscany. The aim is to find which of these features are the most useful for the taxonomic discrimination of the two species. The results of the applied statistical methods (ANOVA, discriminant analysis) suggest that the micromorphological features are the most effective for this purpose
显示更多 [+] 显示较少 [-]意大利语. La rovere (Quercus petraea (Matt.) Liebl.) rappresenta un patrimonio genetico importante, anche se poco conosciuto, per l'Italia centrale. Il suo interesse e' legato alle sue potenzialita' di uso nei rimboschimenti a fini produttivi e nell'arboricoltura da legno. Tuttavia in queste regioni Quercus petraea si ibrida facilmente con Quercus pubescens Willd., dando origine a morfotipi di difficile classificazione. Il presente studio prende in considerazione numerosi caratteri morfologici ed anatomici (macromorfologia, micromorfologia, caratteri di pubescenza, spessore dei tessuti fogliari) di foglie di Q. petraea e di Q. pubescens provenienti da un'area forestale della Toscana (Macchia di Berignone-Tatti) allo scopo di individuare quali siano quelli maggiormente utili per la discriminazione di queste due specie. I risultati della statistica (ANOVA, analisi discriminante) indicano che le caratteristiche micromorfologiche sono le piu' idonee per tale discriminazione
